Old notes of Rs 92.30 lakh confront esteem seized in Hyderabad; two held

Hyderabad: Two people were captured here on Friday for professedly attempting to trade over Rs 92.30 lakh in demonetised banknotes with new bills, police said.

While Tiwari is a local of Rajasthan, Srinivas hails from Sangareddy region in Telangana.

Srinivas interacted with Tiwari through a shared companion.

As indicated by police, Srinivas came to realize that Tiwari has an enormous supply of demonetised money, which he was attempting to trade for new notes by offering 40 for every penny commission.

"Srinivas moved toward Tiwari and offered him to trade the sum, expressing that he is having contacts with forthcoming agents. He guaranteed Tiwari of getting the old money traded with new cash," police expressed in a discharge.

As needs be, Tiwari acquired Rs 92.30 lakh old notes on a bike alongside Srinivas at Karkhana range, when the police captured them and grabbed the rejected notes in divisions of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

Since March 13, the city police have captured 41 individuals in discrete cases and grabbed the invalid notes having a face estimation of Rs 7.75 crore.
